Worms Eye and/or members of staff are members or associates of the Business Environment Association (BEA), British Geotechnical Society (BGS), Geological Society, Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE), Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) and the Society for the Environment (SocEnv).
We endeavour, on all occasions, to work to the exacting standards of all these organisations.
Our activities include site investigations, contaminated land surveys, reports on structural and subsidence difficulties and many other associated areas. Our service includes desk studies, surveys, boreholes, gas testing, laboratory testing (by others) and reporting. We will seek to identify your needs and may rely upon the information which you provide to us. We will provide you with a written quotation and, if appropriate, a sample of reports provided in the past. We would maintain client confidentiality at all times.
Our liability for losses suffered by you as a direct consequence of any negligent performance of our services shall be limited in all circumstances to £1,000,000 per claim. In respect of any other claim arising out of our performance or non-performance of the services hereunder our liability shall be limited to the amount of fees which we have received for performing the services requested.
We shall not be liable to you for any pure economic loss, loss of profit or loss of business, in each case, whether direct, indirect or consequential, or any claims for consequential compensation whatsoever which arise out of or in connection with our services.
It is essential that you notify us immediately of all perceived problems arising from the performance of this contract. Only by providing prompt notification can we take steps to rectify or protect your interests.
Terms of Payment – Payment to be within 30 days of invoice receipt. Our reports can only be relied upon if the invoice has been paid promptly and in full.
All information regarding this contract will be treated as private and confidential.
Our reports often contain information from other organisations including Ordnance Survey (Licence No. AL100031635), The Coal Authority, Landmark, The Environment Agency. This is likely to be copyright and the usual restrictions will apply.
Our reports will be signed by an individual but only on behalf of the company.
These terms supersede all proposals, prior discussions and representations whether oral or written between us relating to this appointment. These terms constitute an offer by us to act on your behalf as Geotechnical advisers. Unless we hear to the contrary we will assume you are deemed to accept our Terms and Conditions.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
